One of the most famous Social media Websites (Twitter), has Announced Several hours ago that it shall start deleting accounts that are inactive for the last 6 months.
Twitter as a social media truly enjoys one of the best world ranking as it's among the best just a few steps behind Facebook and YouTube. Twitter officials said Deleting inactive Accounts shall prove beneficial to this enormous brand . They provided several reasons.
New User Names shall be Available
When the old inactive accounts are deleted they shall make room for other new users to take the name that was previously owned.
The brand continued saying , it's not like Facebook that it offers Memorisation . accounts of those who are deceased shall be deleted if they are inactive.
Twitter argued that the inactive accounts have failed to comply to updated policies hence , it's not ideal to still keep them
It went on to Say the millions of accounts that shall be deleted won't affect the number of users on Twitter. As it's alograthimn only counts those who are active mainly within a day, current statists shows that twitter has over 132 million Online active users A day. These are the people who are real and aren't robots, they interact with People ,posts and Are also exposed to Twitter ads.
As the case stands people are argued to log in to their accounts before 11 December 2019. Auto posting bots or bot accounts won't be spared as well unless a real user logs in. The deleting of accounts shall commerces and it shall be a little slow. Twitter shall start deleting accounts out Side the US and finishing with thoses thatare in the US.
